Client Policies

COVID/Illness Policy:

  • The LMT stringently follows proper Standard Precautions associated with handwashing and disinfection of equipment between every client

  • Despite these cleaning and safety protocols, there is always a risk of catching COVID and/or other illnesses

  • Before booking a session, please talk with your doctor if you are over the age of 65 and/or immunocompromised and are worried about contracting COVID or other illnesses

  • Cancel your appointment as soon as you can if you’re sick. It’s not good for you, the LMT, or other clients if you receive a session while sick. There is no penalty for cancelling due to illness

  • If you’ve knowingly been directly exposed to COVID or another virus but you have no symptoms, please let the LMT know ahead of time so I may take extra precautions if needed

General Policies:

  • Confirmation e-mails or text messages will be automatically sent out at least 24 hours prior to the appointment, unless the client opts out of these reminders

  • LMT will call all new clients prior to their first appointment

  • The LMT will be available to start every appointment on time. Sessions will end at their designated time even if the client is late, so the next session may start on time

  • Clients who cancel within 24hrs or do not show up to their appointment will be charged for the appointment cost

  • Clients must complete all required documentation prior to the appointment. Massage appointments will still end on time even if some of that time is taken up filling out forms

  • Please discontinue all topical medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, 12 hours prior to the appointment if able. If not, please inform the LMT. Medications and topicals such as CBD, Biofreeze, etc. are transferable to the LMT through skin contact and can be dangerous for the LMT.

  • Please inform the LMT if you are using a temporary hair dye such as hair chalk, or temporary tattoos such as henna, that may stain the LMT’s skin on contact

  • Communication is strongly encouraged during session! Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or voice any concerns or comments about the session! This is your treatment and it should be as comfortable for you as possible

  • The LMT is an adjunct healthcare professional and will be treated as such. There will be no tolerance for unprofessional and/or inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to harassment, sexual advances, and assault. Inappropriate behavior will result in termination of the session and the client will still owe the full amount of the treatment cost. Crimes such as any kind of assault or repeat harassment will result in the LMT filing a police report

  • The LMT is considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19
